The Ditët e Nëntorit festival is a comprehensive cultural event dedicated to commemorating and honoring the precious symbols of the national flag, history and spiritual heritage. With the first edition held in November 2024, this festival transformed Gjakova into the epicenter of Albanian pride and a worthy stage for the affirmation of art, culture and national unity.
Throughout the month of November, Gjakova welcomes prominent artists from Kosovo, Albania and the Albanian diaspora, through a rich program that includes:
– opera and ballet performances,
– gala concerts and performances of traditional music,
– concerts of folklore ensembles,
– painters’ colonies and exhibitions,
– discussion panels and motivational speeches,
– as well as markets with Albanian food, drinks and handicrafts.
Activities take place in some of the city’s most iconic locations such as: the “Asim Vokshi” Palace of Culture, the “Prenk Jakova” Music School, the Old Bazaar, and other public spaces that become a living experience of the Albanian cultural experience.
The festival aims to:

• support artists and their creativity,
• promote cultural tourism and awareness of national heritage,
• strengthen local businesses,
• and create opportunities for economic development through culture and community.
